Commissioning Series

In 1994, the Mt. Lebanon Percussion began a Commissioning Series to promote the development of repertoire for high school percussion ensembles. Four of these commissions have been published nationally and have been performed throughout the United States by various college and high school ensembles. The remaining arrangements are available on loan from our music library to interested percussion ensembles.

This season we have commissioned 2002 Mt. Lebanon graduate Jeremy Smith to arrange Deck the Halls With Jingle Bells for percussion ensemble and mixed chorus. This commssion will be premiered during the 2005 Holiday Bells, Mallets & Drums Concert Series featuring the MTL Percussion Ensemble and our special guests the South Hills Chorale.
